Dr Ronald Cooper
Dr. Ronald Cooper was born into a Chiropractic family on July 30, 1955. His entire life he was taught a belief system that health comes from ‘with in’ the body, not out side of it. That God made the body to be a self healing organism. If anything got in way of your body healing itself, you just removed that interference and with time it would recover.
That is the belief system he still has today, which led him to become a Doctor of Chiropractic and one that is applied to his professional and personal life.
He began his journey in 1973 in a pre-Chiropractic curriculum at Lindsey Wilson Jr. College in Columbia, Kentucky. He then moved on to Western Kentucky University before enrolling in Palmer College of Chiropractic in 1975. He graduated in 1978 with his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. After passing National boards and the Kentucky entrance tests, he received his license to practice in 1978.
After a short stint working with his father in Russell Springs, the office in Somerset was opened in January of 1979. The office is still open in the same location 32 years later.
Since that time there have been numerous continuing education courses with classes in radiology, practice management, manipulative techniques, orthopedics, etc.
Ron is an active member of the Kentucky Chiropractic Society. He is also a 30 year member of the American Chiropractic Association.
In June of 1978, Ron married Sheryl Lynch of Davenport, Iowa. They have 3 children, Ashley, David, and Hollie.
His hobbies include flying, working out, and following UK basketball.
Dr. Ron, as many patients call him, has been on several Chiropractic mission trips to Vietnam, helping to introduce Chiropractic into their health care culture.
After all these years, Ron still has a passion for helping people to return to health thru Chiropractic. He recently stated that, “Educating our community about the benefits of Chiropractic is more important today than it was when I begin practicing those many years ago.”
Ron still gets up 5 days a week to come to work. If you are having pain and suffering, maybe you should give someone like Dr. Ron a call. Dr. Ron and Chiropractic might be the ‘Perfect Combination’ for you.
Katrina – Office Manager
My name is Katrina and I began working at Cooper Chiropractic Center in May of 1983. Over the years I have worked in all areas of the office and have met many wonderful people. When starting out, I had no idea of what chiropractic was all about and how much healthier people could be through this form of health care. Although I loves to see all sick people get well, one of my favorite things is when parents come in for help because they have spent many sleepless nights walking the floor with a baby crying in pain from colic and then watching their relief and amazement because their baby is pain free within just a few adjustments. Many people have the idea that chiropractic is only for back pain but as I have learned over the years it is for so much more. Please give some serious thought to having a better life for yourself and your family by choosing a healthier lifestyle along with regular chiropractic care. Schedule an appointment with one of our doctors to see how we may help you.
